ViteMeet

Streamlining Healthcare Appointment Management

Role

Product Designer

Duration

3 Months

Platform

Mobile Application & Desktop

ViteMeet is a healthcare service platform designed for both service providers, including doctors, nurses, midwives, and pharmacists, and service seekers, the patients themselves. Delivered in both mobile and desktop versions, the product aimed to modernize how medical appointments and healthcare services are booked in France.

As the Product Designer , I collaborated closely with stakeholders over a three-month period to design and deliver a functional, intuitive solution. Initially, the project was commissioned by an independent doctor in France. However, midway through, the product secured funding and was acquired by the French Ministry of Health, which accelerated timelines and raised the stakes. The entire design process was executed in Figma.

The product is currently live under a different brand name following a mid-project acquisition by the French Ministry of Health.

The Problem

The client’s main pain points were:
For patients: Inconvenience of physically visiting the clinic just to book appointments.

For healthcare providers: Time-consuming manual scheduling and lack of an integrated patient management system.

Goals & Hypotheses

Primary Goals

  • Reduce the need for in-person visits just to book appointments.
  • Enable patients to book with doctors, nurses, midwives, and pharmacies from a single platform.
  • Give providers an efficient way to manage patient lists, schedules, and consultation flow.

Success Metrics

  • Quantitative: Reduction in average booking time, increase in successful remote bookings, and decreased no-shows.
  • Qualitative: Higher satisfaction ratings from both patients and providers.

Research & Insights

To understand the problem deeply, I conducted:

Key Findings:

  1. Patients valued convenience above all else, especially the ability to see available times in real-time.
  2. Providers needed an at-a-glance view of daily schedules without manual data entry.
  3. Booking flows needed to accommodate both mobile and desktop usage equally well.

Design Strategy

My approach was human-centered and narrative-driven, designing from the perspective of both the patient and the provider.

Turning Point

The most critical design challenge came from the client’s request to make the booking experience map-based. Patients would see nearby providers on a map, color-coded by category (doctor, midwife, pharmacy). Implementing this on mobile while ensuring accessibility and clarity was complex.

We solved this by:

Core Features

For Patients

For Providers

Home dashboard on mobile
Patient analysis charts
Today patients and progress view
Blocked state / overlay example
Calendar scheduling on mobile
Edit session form
Mobile home and navigation states
Map-based search screen
Map list and filters
Doctor profile card
Edit booking form
Appointment history list

Outcome

ViteMeet successfully transformed the booking experience for both patients and providers.

Following its acquisition, the product was launched under a different brand name across multiple healthcare facilities in France, reaching thousands of patients within the first months.
